Mafadi Trek - Trekking Africa

Mafadi Hike – Drakensberg

Join Trekking Africa on an extraordinary 4-day, 3-night trek to the highest peak in South Africa. This adventure is one of the most demanding hikes we offer, featuring a total elevation gain of 2,000 meters over the first two days, averaging 1,000 meters per day.

The journey covers 64 kilometers over the 4-day period and typically follows a circular route. However, your safety is our top priority, and we remain adaptable with the route in case of heavy rain, which may necessitate changes. This is a rare occurrence, and we usually follow the circular route that takes us up Corner Pass and down Leslie’s Pass.

You will want to book ahead of time to sleep here because it is a very popular cave in the Drakensberg.
